The maintenance unit is a draining fitting for use in dry systems. It collects the condensation water arising at the lowest point in the dry system and can be easily drained during regular maintenance work.
The VWE standard maintenance unit consists of the following parts: – Pitot pipe, Upper ball valve 1”, Lower ball valve 1” and plug 1”. The maintenance unit is supplied completely assembled. The VWE maintenance unit with filler neck consists of the following parts: Pitot pipe, Upper ball valve 1”, Lower ball valve 1”, plug 1”, ball valve 1/2”, VTS 2” x 1/2” and plug 1/2”. The maintenance unit is supplied completely assembled. The DN 15 filler opening can be used to fill the maintenance unit with up to 1/3 full with anti-freeze and therefore prevent freezing up. According to the manufacturer, the ball valves are only frostproof in the 45° wing handle position.
