LPCB (Loss Prevention Certification Board) - UK

The Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB) has been working with industry and insurers for more than 100 years to set the standards needed to ensure that fire and security products and services perform effectively. LPCB is part of BRE Global.

LPCB’s Loss Prevention Standards (LPS) are now widely recognised and applied in fire and security sectors around the world. LPCB offers third-party certification confirming that products and services have met and will continue to meet these standards.

FM (Factory Mutual) - USA

FM Approvals is an international leader in third-party testing and certification services. UL (Underwriters Laboratories) - USA

VdS – EU / Germany

112 years of experience in fire prevention and protection. Since fire extinguishing technology has existed in Europe, its reliability has been tested by VdS. VdS is the first and currently the only state-accredited test centre for stationary automatic fire protection systems (in accordance with ISO 17020 by DAkkS - the German Accreditation Authority).

The teams of experts at VdS assess more than 26,000 fire protection systems worldwide every year. Plan, first and repeated tests by the state-approved VdS experts give operators the assurance that their life-saving fire protection technology works under all operating conditions.

CE - EU

The CE marking is required for many products. It:

• shows that the manufacturer has checked that these products meet EU safety, health or environmental requirements
• is an indicator of a product’s compliance with EU legislation
• allows the free movement of products within the European market

By placing the CE marking on a product a manufacturer is declaring, on his sole responsibility, conformity with all of the legal requirements to achieve CE marking. The manufacturer is thus ensuring validity for that product to be sold throughout the EEA.

CNBOP  – EU / Poland

Scientific and Research Centre for Fire Protection – National Research Institute is a Scientific Unit with the mission of ensuring public safety of the Country in terms of fire protection, crisis management, civil protection and civil defence.

CNBOP strives for the highest possible level of services in the field of testing, certification, admittance, technical assessments, as well as scientific development, training, publishing and other activities in the field of fire protection and civil defence. CNBOP rely primarily on the requirements of applicable law and the following standards: PN-EN ISO 9001:2015-10, PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018-02, PN-EN ISO/IEC 17065:2013-03.
